Sidie Hollow Park Damage
Sometime between May 18th and May 22nd 2008, someone damaged property at the Sidie Hollow Park and Campground, near Viroqua. The mens bathroom and shower area near the boat landing was damaged. The wall mounted sink was pulled from the wall, tearing the lag bolts loose from the wall. The shower area also recieved damage.
Tainter Hollow Burglary
A burglary was reported on Tainter Hollow Road, in the township of Franklin, that occurred sometime between May 5th and May 9th 2008. The suspects walked in to the property and cut a padlock from a shed. Items taken in the burglary included Chainsaws, various Power Tools and other miscellaneous items from the shed.
$1000 Donation in memory of Harold Abbey
On 05/16/08 Crime Stoppers received a $1000 donation from Roger and Ilene Rose of Viroqua in memory of Harold Abbey. Harold Abbey was a member of the Vernon County Sheriffs Department for over 20 years and also worked for the Viroqua Police Department for several years.
Theft of Diamond Wedding Ring from Helgerson Road
A diamond wedding ring was reported missing from a residence on Helgerson Road, near Viroqua. The ring was taken between April 25th 2008 and April 26th 2008. The description of the ring is one larger diamond in the middle, with three smaller diamond sets around the larger diamond. The ring was taken from a medicine cabinet in a downstairs bathroom of the residence.
Trailer Theft in Coon Valley
On 05/09/08 a theft of a low profile tandem axle trailer was reported missing from the Coon Valley Dairy Supply in Coon Valley. The trailer is described as a 7000 pound, low profile tandem axle trailer, black in color, with home-made, rear fold down ramps. The fenders are made of “J” plate. The trailer is 18 feet long.
